Job Description
Senior Account Executive, Federal at Xometry drives revenue growth by selling Xometry's on-demand manufacturing marketplace solutions to U.S. federal government agencies. This role partners with government customers to understand needs, qualify opportunities, and guide complex engagements from discovery through contract award.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with federal agencies and prime contractors
- Identify, qualify, and close new federal business opportunities
- Lead the full sales cycle from discovery to contract award, including RFP responses
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to tailor solutions for government customers
- Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
- Navigate federal procurement vehicles such as IDIQ, GWACs, and other contracting mechanisms
- Represent Xometry at industry events and professional forums
- Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements and security standards
- Meet or exceed annual revenue targets
Qualifications
- 7+ years of enterprise sales experience selling to the federal government or defense sector
- Proven track record of quota attainment and revenue growth
- Deep understanding of federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Ability to work in a remote environment and travel as needed
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
