Xometry is a leading on-demand manufacturing marketplace connecting buyers with vetted suppliers. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our engineering team.

Role overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of Xometry's software platform. This hybrid role based in Gaithersburg, MD.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test suites for web and API services
Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify defects
Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes
Collaborate with product and engineering teams during design and release cycles
Participate in code and design reviews; contribute to QA process improvements
Contribute to performance, security, and reliability testing as needed

Qualifications

2+ years of QA or Software Quality Assurance experience
Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) and scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Familiarity with API testing and tools (Postman, REST clients) is a plus
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
