Director, Accounts Payable at Xometry

Overview

Xometry is seeking a seasoned Director, Accounts Payable to lead our global AP operations on a contract basis. This remote role is centered on Bangalore, India and will support a worldwide supplier base and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and scale end-to-end accounts payable processes for a growing, global supplier base.
Manage timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reimbursements, and payments (ACH, wires) while maintaining strong internal controls.
Own month-end close activities related to AP and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
Develop and enforce AP policies, 3-way matching, vendor setup, and master data quality.
Drive continuous improvement through automation and system optimization (AP automation, ERP integrations).
Partner with FP&A, Procurement, Tax, and Compliance to optimize working capital and cash flow.
Lead and develop a remote/global AP team; set priorities, coach, and build a strong control environment.
Support internal/external audits and respond to inquiries from finance leadership and external auditors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA/CMA preferred.
10+ years of accounts payable/finance experience, with at least 5 years in leadership/director role.
Experience leading AP in a high-volume, fast-growth organization; global operations a plus.
Deep knowledge of end-to-end AP processes, month-end close, 3-way matching, and internal controls.
Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and AP automation tools.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and international accounting considerations; SOX compliance experience a plus.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and change-management skills; proven track record of building and managing remote teams.
Analytical mindset with ability to drive process improvements and measurable outcomes.
