Job Description

As a DFM Project Engineer, you will review customer drawings and specifications, identify manufacturability improvements, and collaborate with internal and supplier teams to deliver robust manufacturing solutions. This is a remote position that supports customers worldwide and requires strong communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform DFM assessments on part drawings and 3D models to identify manufacturability improvements
Provide actionable feedback to customers and suppliers, including recommended design changes and tolerancing guidance
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop cost effective production processes
Assist in creating manufacturing documentation and quotes
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and lead times

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3 or more years of experience in DFM or manufacturing engineering
Proficiency with CAD tools (for example SolidWorks or Fusion 360) and GD&T knowledge
Strong communication, project management, and customer facing skills
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team
