DFM Lead at Xometry
Location: Bangalore, India (On-Site)
Role Overview
The DFM Lead will drive Design for Manufacturability across Xometry's product lines, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize designs for cost, quality, and lead time. This is a hands-on leadership role based in Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement DFM guidelines and best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers dedicated to DFM initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate parts and processes for manufacturability.
- Drive cost reductions and streamline product development cycles.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure design intent is maintainable in production.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in design for manufacturability and product development.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and cost analysis.
