Xometry is seeking an Application Engineer for Injection Molding to join our hybrid team in Los Angeles, CA. This role focuses on supporting customers and internal teams with injection molding processes, mold design, and manufacturing optimization.

About the Role

As an Application Engineer, Injection Molding, you will apply in-depth knowledge of injection molding processes to design reviews, process optimization, and technical support across projects from quote to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for injection molding projects from quotation through production.
Evaluate part designs for manufacturability and material suitability.
Collaborate with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize processes.
Assist with mold design reviews and process validation planning.
Develop technical documentation and application notes as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in injection molding.
Knowledge of mold design, process optimization, and quality control.
Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
