Overview
Full-time, hybrid role based in Boston, MA. The engineer will support customers in the development and manufacture of plastic parts using injection molding, collaborating with design, tooling, and production teams to evaluate molding processes, optimize cycle times, select materials, and validate part quality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate molding processes and optimize cycle times
- Assist customers in design-for-manufacturing considerations for injection-molded parts
- Support mold design discussions and tooling strategies with engineering teams
- Analyze and troubleshoot molding issues to ensure part quality and manufacturability
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge transfer within the manufacturing organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in injection molding or plastics processing
- Knowledge of mold design, process optimization, and DOE
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
