This team is tackling one of Xero’s most ambitious initiatives yet - an early-stage product effort exploring new ways to reimagine how businesses manage their finances, powered by next-generation AI and automation. Details are still under wraps, but you’ll be part of a small, startup-like team building something entirely new within Xero.
The Opportunity
We’re building a
new AI-native product engineering team for this ambitious project and are hiring across multiple senior engineering roles. We’re looking for senior product engineers who thrive in ambiguity, are energized by big challenges, and want to shape 0→1 products from the ground up.You’ll join a lean, autonomous team with the freedom to experiment, iterate rapidly, and ship impactful experiences. We’re assembling a diverse group of engineers with complementary strengths - from full-stack developers to front-end and mobile specialists, to those experienced in integrating complex accounting systems.
This is not a typical engineering role - it’s a hands-on opportunity to blend deep technical expertise with product thinking. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to co-create solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI.
