You’ll be seen as an integral part of the Finance team and the month-end related processes. You will be required to obtain a thorough understanding of the Xero business environment and will assist in ensuring Xero meets the accounting requirements that arise by virtue of being a listed issuer. You will build strong relationships throughout the business and become a trusted advisor to the Finance team and the business in general.

What you'll do...

Support the wider team over month end and half year/annual reporting cycles, including processing journals and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

Take initiative, driving change and improvements across the team and wider functions - particularly leveraging finance systems (including in the month end close process).

Review and understand the wider functions/P&L, and analyse financial results and identify trends and anomalies, with reasoning behind this.

Develop an excellent understanding of finance systems, including Netsuite, Blackline and Xero.

Participate in significant corporate or company-wide finance projects and initiatives.

Complete daily bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving identified differences.

Experience you will bring with you...

Around two years experience in an accounting based role.

Strong understanding of financial accounting standards.
