Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytics Engineer / Data Analyst to join our data team. This individual will play a critical role in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and providing actionable insights through advanced data analysis and visualization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, expertise in SQL, DBT and Python, and experience with Business Intelligence tools. In this role, you will own and develop data models, data pipelines, tools and critical dashboards.

  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to support data integration and flow within the organization.

  • Design and build new ELT-based data models using SQL and DBT

  • Work closely with various teams to understand their data needs and translate these requirements into technical implementations.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to provide actionable insights.

  • Perform complex data analysis to help guide business decisions and improve processes.

  • Implement data validation and testing to ensure accuracy and quality of analytics outputs.

  • Collaborate with XFN Data teams to ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.

  • Continuously explore new tools, technologies, and techniques to improve data efficiency and insights.

  • Build Advanced Monitoring and Alerting Systems.

  • Reviewing and interpreting business requirements and translating them into data models for catering to ad-hoc reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of industry-related experience in a data engineering, BI analyst, or Analytics engineer role.

  • Should have strong SQL and Python development and with hands-on experience in ETL Development and building Star Schema/Snowflake Schema’s in Data Warehouse.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with data libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).

  • Experience with ETL tools like Workato, FiveTran, Matillion, Informatica and understanding of data integration challenges.

  • Experience with Data warehouse Technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, Big query.

  • Experience with Database tool like DBT, SQLMesh

  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools like Sigma, Looker, Tableau or Power BI.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

  • Familiarity with data warehouse technologies and concepts.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

  • Knowledge of automation platforms like Workato.

  • Experience with real-time analytics and data streaming technologies (Kafka, StreamSets).
