Undertake site surveys and review reports to advise on terrain, soils and silviculture.
Work with GIS and mapping specialist to map terrain, soils and flood risk for plantation areas.
Identify optimal locations for sources of forest topsoil for nursery.
Advise on community engagement activities, particularly relating to fodder tree and grass cultivation.
Produce specialist reports as required by the Project Manager.

🎯 Requirements

Masters degree in soil science.
15 years in forestry/agriculture projects in Nepal; 3+ in Terai.
MEL frameworks for reforestation or environmental projects.
Foster partnerships with private sector, communities and government.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication; Nepali fluent; English.
