Senior Software Engineer

Wingspan is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Canada. In this role you will design, implement, and maintain high-quality software that powers our platform. You will collaborate with product, design, and data teams to ship reliable features and improvements.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Wingspan, you will own critical features from design through production, mentor teammates, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deploy high-quality software
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to ship features
• Own systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews
• Champion good development practices and CI/CD improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in modern languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Go, or Java
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and databases
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and software design patterns
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)
