Who We're Looking For

The Group Finance Controller (Head of Controllership) holds a crucial, global position responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations and financial reporting within the organization across all operating jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial statements preparation: Supervising the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP in all locations. Ensure timely reporting to all stakeholders including internal teams, regulatory authorities, management and shareholders. Support M&A activities including due diligence, integration, and post-merger reporting.

  • Technical and operational accounting: Review and analyses accounting treatment of new transactions, maintain the company accounting policies, chart of accounts. Oversee and manage accounting operations across all entities within the group. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and standards are met

  • Automatisation: drive automatisation and optimisation of accounting and financial reporting aiming reducing period end closure, increasing accuracy of financial information and control over financial information. Ensure data consistency and proper mapping across systems

  • Revenue: overseeing revenue recognition process, collections from merchants, with a focus on optimizing and automating revenue recognition process, enhancing relationships with the payments team supporting data driven business decisions.

  • Audit coordination: Serving as the primary contact for external auditors during financial audits, facilitating audit processes, providing documentation, and addressing any audit findings.

  • Internal controls: Develop and maintain internal control frameworks for financial operations

  • Risk mitigation: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with financial processes and activities, conducting financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and provide insights for process optimization and cost reduction.

  • Team leadership and development: Leading and developing a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement in controllership functions and financial processes.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) required.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, audit or controllership, preferably in a multinational or tech-driven environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and multi-jurisdictional GAAP standards.

  • Proven experience managing complex audits, revenue recognition, intercompany operations, and tax compliance.

  • Track record in driving automation initiatives and ERP/reporting system optimization is a plus.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or digital product environments is a plus.
