- Collaborate with design, manufacturing and quality to optimize fusion welding processes.
- Develop and qualify weld joint designs and processes per AWS D17.1.
- Identify and implement new welding capabilities with automation focusing on Robotic LBW and GTAW.
- Provide technical welding support to manufacturing; assist with operations and troubleshooting.
- Support disposition of hardware non-conformances and RCCA.
- Ensure process QC and documentation meet standards; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
๐ฏ Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Welding Engineering or related field
- 3 years hands-on aerospace fusion welding (GTAW, robotic, laser)
- Familiar with industry welding codes and AWS D17.1
- Knowledge of aerospace materials (stainless steel, nickel, aluminum, titanium)
- Basic CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX)
- Nice to have: nickel alloy welding and additive manufacturing experience
