Weld Engineer I

📋 Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fusion welding for Relativity’s hardware.
• Develop and qualify weld joints and AWS D17.1-compliant processes.
• Implement new welding capabilities emphasizing automation and robotics.
• Provide technical welding support to manufacturing and troubleshoot ops.
• Ensure process QC, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Support disposition of hardware non-conformances and RCCA activities.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on aerospace fusion welding: GTAW, robotic, laser.
• Familiarity with AWS D17.1 welding codes/standards.
• Knowledge of nickel, titanium alloys, stainless steel, aluminum.
• CAD proficiency: SolidWorks, CATIA, NX.
• Experience with robotic and semi-automated welding techniques.
