Who We Are:
Wayfair's core platforms are increasingly driven by a cutting-edge set of data and machine learning systems that interact in complex ways to ensure that we are using our rich datasets to their full potential. Business applications of these learning systems span many fields including recommendations, marketing, supply chain optimization and merchandising. These fields require a sophisticated data technology stack that allows for complex data and machine learning systems combined with configurability for rapid testing and exploration.
We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager to accelerate the development of our technology stack, leading our data platforms (specifically our Data Ingestion systems that include real-time event management and batch data ingestion technologies) that serve thousands of users and applications (incl. analytics and ML use cases) within Wayfair. This Product Manager will play a central role in developing our data platforms and partnering with a variety of stakeholders in both engineering, product and data science. You will work with them to understand our pain points, our internal business KPIs, and our current technical gaps to develop a platform that advances our ability to delight the customers and suppliers. You’ll translate business/user needs into a pragmatic and iterative strategy and roadmap, along with providing specifications and user stories for your engineering team(s), making smart trade-offs between time and complexity to develop market ready solutions. You’ll serve as the subject matter expert on the platform, push for adoption for new use cases, and continually improve our platform capabilities.
