VP - Underwriter (Tax Credit Equity)

📋 Description

• Lead underwriting and coordinate timely due diligence across studies and reports.
• Work with underwriting staff to complete credit approval packages.
• Present credit approval packages to Investment Committee.
• Manage financial modeling and model updates.
• Primary liaison with legal counsel to ensure LIHTC compliance.
• Establish and implement underwriting policies and quality controls.
• Identify issues that require further investigation or may delay approval.
• Interact with asset management, accounting, IR, acquisitions, developers and investors to close.
• Manage client and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate special or new projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong analytical skills; identify issues and draw conclusions with limited oversight.
• Detail oriented; prioritize, meet deadlines, multi task, work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and sensitivity analysis (NPV, IRR).
• Familiar with GAAP for real estate and partnership structures (preferred).
• Clear oral and written communication; professional with internal/external contacts.
• Ability to travel domestically as required.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent; 7-10 years in tax credit underwriting.
