VP, Deputy General Counsel, Strategic Litigation and IP

📋 Description

• Own Roku's global litigation portfolio end-to-end, incl IP disputes.
• Define and drive litigation strategy; decide when to litigate or settle.
• Build a scalable litigation system: intake, early assessment, playbooks.
• Oversee Roku's IP portfolio: patent strategy and prosecution oversight.
• Manage outside counsel program and cost controls.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Ads, Finance, and leadership to reduce risk.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years leading complex litigation matters.
• In-house leadership experience; top-tier law firm background a plus.
• Experience managing broad litigation portfolios beyond IP.
• Strong track record managing outside counsel and legal budgets.
• Experience in high-growth technology or media companies.
• Ability to translate legal risk into business decisions and clearly communicate.
