🎯 Requirements
- At least four years in visual journalism (design, interactives, or photography).
- Prior newsroom experience is required.
- Strong news judgment and visual ethics (documentary photojournalism, editorial illustration).
- Communicate a vision and guide it when commissioning artists.
- Experience with visual storyboards and briefs; Photoshop/Sketch/Figma.
- Eye for visual narrative and effective storytelling with imagery and design elements.
- Fresh ideas for experimenting with new formats and artists.
- Proficient in wire/archival photo research; licensing knowledge.
- Excellent organizational skills; able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and stellar communication across teams and partners.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; JavaScript and Sass are a plus.
