📋 Description

• Maintain a real-time view of policy risk across jurisdictions.
• Build and manage a network of state/local lobbyists and counsel.
• Identify rent control, zoning, licensing threats early and respond.
• Lead state-level advocacy, including preemption and modernization of MHC statutes.
• Develop relationships with key state legislators and housing agencies.

🎯 Requirements

• 8-12 years in government/public affairs (regulated finance/real estate preferred)
• Experience coordinating with outside lobbyists across multiple jurisdictions
• Strong coalition-building and policy advancement track record
• Experience handling hostile press or activist campaigns
• Understanding regulatory inquiries and coordinating with in-house counsel
