The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the next wave of innovation in our video and audio processing technologies. You’ll guide a talented team of 8 specialists, owning the full media pipeline (audio and video) - from first RGB sensor output to rendering in the cloud - and keeping us ahead of the industry on video quality-to-cost ratio. Collaborating across hardware, firmware, cloud platform, and application teams, you’ll help create game-changing media experiences across platforms. With powerful new edge-compute capabilities on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to shape the future of our media processing pipeline.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 8+ engineers, fostering collaboration and impact across specializations
  • Motivate and coach team members to reach their full potential and grow the team over time
  • Own the end-to-end video and audio processing pipelines, from capture hardware to customer playback
  • Prioritize and manage backlogs, unblock teams, and ensure scalable engineering practices
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, cloud platform, and product teams to deliver industry-leading media experiences
  • Optimize the video quality-to-cost ratio across different platforms, balancing edge and cloud compute strategically
  • Interface with the hardware team on component selection, the firmware team on video applications, the cloud platform team on the Gstreamer pipeline in cloud, and AI to increase AI functionalities with video technology
  • Drive audio innovation as well, particularly in challenging areas like wind-noise filtering and beamforming
  • Help define the future of our edge-cloud processing strategy
  • What you could bring

  • Proven Leadership experience with GStreamer development (or similar frameworks) in embedded and cloud environments
  • Ability to lead and inspire technical teams, set clear priorities, and deliver tangible outcomes
  • Deep understanding of video encoding/decoding, GPU and ISP pipelines, cloud media processing, and edge computing
  • Proficiency with C++ and/or Rust, and Python
  • Hands-on experience with CUDA, HIP, Vulkan, or other GPU programming frameworks
  • Strong background in real-time media pipelines, video optimization, and low-latency streaming
  • Familiarity with both embedded systems and cloud-based media architectures
  • Approachable with a growth mindset, developing an innovative and inclusive positive team spirit
