The Role
Veeva’s legal group seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Privacy Analyst to join our Regulatory and Privacy team. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring adherence to global privacy laws and regulations and fostering a culture of privacy throughout the organization. While maintenance of our privacy program will be a primary focus, this role will also offer opportunities to contribute to broader regulatory and compliance initiatives, such as those related to AI.
What You'll Do Privacy Assessments: Conduct and support privacy impact assessments and data transfer impact assessments to identify and mitigate privacy risks and ensure compliance with global data protection regulations.Data Mapping & Inventory: Support efforts to identify, classify, and document personal data processed by the organization, including data flows and retention schedules.Data Subject Requests: Manage and coordinate responding to and fulfilling data subject requests in a timely and compliant manner.Vendor Due Diligence: Assist in assessing third-party vendor privacy practices and ensuring contractual compliance with privacy requirements.Training & Awareness: Contribute to the development and delivery of privacy training and awareness programs for employees.Privacy Program Support: Assist in the management, administration and improvement of Veeva’s privacy program, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.Regulatory Research & Monitoring: Research other regulatory matters, as assigned, and work with attorneys and other stakeholders to build, expand or improve existing compliance programs related to such research.Customer Service: Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers. Requirements Strong knowledge of U.S. and EU data privacy lawsExperience conducting privacy impact assessments, data transfer impact assessments and data mappingExperience administering DSAR processesExperience completing DPIAs and DTIAsBachelor’s degree or equivalent3+ years of relevant experienceHigh level of accuracy and strong attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently Nice to Have Privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT)Experience with OneTrust privacy management softwareExperience in the life sciences industry Perks & Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insuranceFlexible PTO and company paid holidaysRetirement programs1% charitable giving program Compensation Base pay: $90,000 - $135,000The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions.
