The Role

Veeva OpenData is global reference data of healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. It contains addresses, emails, specialties, demographics, compliance data (license information and industry identifiers) and affiliations. It is available in 100+ countries today and growing.

Your mission as our Data Operations Lead is to be the operational backbone of our curation efforts. You will guide and lead a remote team of data curators, ensuring we unlock the full potential of OpenData while adhering to strict compliance and quality standards. This is not just about maintenance; it’s about strategy. You will design the production processes of tomorrow, driving the technological improvements that elevate our efficiency and data quality.

What You'll Do

  • Implement Automation Strategy: You will identify opportunities to implement state-of-the-art technology that make the team faster and smarter. And then you will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to deploy them
  • Achieve Data Excellence: You will establish and own the gold standard for our data. You will design robust processes for tracking, assessing, and validating data quality at scale
  • Monitor & Optimize: You are the owner of the team’s output. You will track KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement efficiency projects that tangibly improve performance
  • Servant Leader: Lead, mentor, and inspire a dynamic team of Data Curators, fostering a culture of proactivity and high performance
  • Risk Guardian: Proactively identify data risks and operational incidents, ensuring they are escalated unambiguously and resolved quickly
  • Requirements

  • Data-First Mindset: 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment (Tech, Startup, Consulting) with a proven track record of handling complex data sets or data operations
  • Process Mastery: You have strong experience in business process design and optimization. You know how to structure unstructured data workflows
  • Global Communicator: Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, international environment
  • Proven Leadership: Previous experience mentoring junior team members, leading projects, or managing teams (3+ years preferred)
