  • Own end-to-end design and integration of in-flight equipment from concept to flight verification
  • Develop and maintain packaging layouts to optimize cargo placement and CG
  • Own requirements, run trade studies, and drive decisions with engineering rationale
  • Develop qualification and acceptance tests; design fixtures; coordinate testing
  • Produce CAD models, drawings, analyses; lead hardware through manufacturing
  • Collaborate with Flight Surgeons, Thermal, ECLSS, Avionics

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering
  • 5+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience
  • 5+ years CAD and FEA tools
  • Experience developing spaceflight hardware or safety equipment in regulated/high-reliability domains
  • Hands-on environmental testing (structural, random vibration, thermal, EMI/EMC)
  • Experience with aerospace, medical, or high-reliability packaging systems
