As a People Operations Generalist - Israel, you will play a critical role on our People Ops and People Business Partner teams by acting as the first point of contact for our Vanta’ns in Israel and ensuring our international growth is supported by scaling systems, policy, and programs. You’ll have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including benefits programs, policy creation to ensure we’re operating efficiently/compliantly in Israel, and creating an efficient, tech-enabled employee experience. You will have an opportunity to iterate on existing People processes and translate business needs into scalable and repeatable solutions. The ideal teammate is a creative problem solver who operates with urgency and thrives in the face of ambiguity.

This is a hybrid role located in Tel Aviv (3 days a week in office; 9am-6pm) and reports into the Manager, People Operations.

What you’ll do as a People Operations Generalist at Vanta:

  • Be the first point of contact for Israel-based Vanta'ns with People Ops-related questions (e.g. benefits, leave management visa and mobility, people systems), providing guidance and support.

  • Own all aspects of the employee lifecycle for our Israel employee population, including onboarding, benefits administration, immigration, leaves of absence, offboarding etc.

  • Drive efficiency across our core People Ops processes - building automation and optimizing our use of technology to ensure we can operate at scale

  • Own the benefits program for Israel, ensuring alignment with company standards in addition to regional benchmarking and compliance

  • Partner with the legal team to ensure that HR policies and procedures meet the needs of Vanta and are in compliance with local laws and regulations

  • Provide first-line support to Israel team in areas such as performance management, change management, employee relations, workforce and talent planning, career development, manager development, etc.

  • Assess organizational health and effectiveness on a regular basis and identify opportunities to drive improvements and efficiencies

  • Support People Ops tickets and administrative tasks for all of Vanta EMEA

  • Participate in cross-functional strategic projects as needed

How to be successful in this role:

  • 3-4+ years of HR experience, preferably at a fast scaling start up.

  • Strong knowledge of Israeli employment laws, regulations and compliance requirements

  • Creative problem solver who uses frameworks to cut through ambiguity and independently figure things out

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural and remote team environment

  • Detail oriented, exceptionally communicative, ability to prioritize effectively

  • Full fluency in English

  • Strong proficiency with Excel a plus
