Underwriting Operations Analyst

📋 Description

• Coordinate responses to service escalations; draft referrals; obtain approvals.
• Conduct root cause analysis and reporting to identify improvements.
• Aid cross-functional teams to identify training needs; develop underwriting manuals and SOPs.
• Complete underwriting referrals for suspicious claims; partner with Platform Operations.
• Screen OFAC and OFSI referrals in the US/Canada; provide required reporting to insurer.
• Monitor Bordereaux reporting; support audits and regulatory reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years in the P&C insurance industry.
• Pet Insurance or Insurtech experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance operations, policy forms, IT applications, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Intellectually curious; desire to learn and improve processes.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and independently resolve complex issues; research and communicate findings.
