Overview

Twilio is seeking a Staff Security Enablement Analyst to join our remote team from Canada. In this role, you will partner with product engineering and security teams to scale secure-by-default practices and enable developers to build safer software.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain security tooling, runbooks, and self-service capabilities to empower engineering teams.
  • Influence security by design through threat modeling, secure architecture guidance, and secure coding practices.
  • Support the secure SDLC and DevSecOps initiatives across the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Create and deliver security training and enablement programs for engineers.
  • Collaborate with incident response, vulnerability management, and governance teams to improve security posture.
  • Evaluate third-party risk and ensure vendor security requirements are met.
  • Define security metrics and contribute to audits, compliance programs, and documentation.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, security engineering, or security enablement.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and identity and access management.
  • Experience with secure software development lifecycle, threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE, PASTA), and security tooling (SAST/DAST, CI/CD security).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate security requirements into actionable guidance for engineers.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are a plus.
  • Ability to work remotely from Canada and collaborate across time zones.
