Senior Accountant, International Accounting
Twilio is seeking a Senior Accountant, International Accounting to lead global accounting processes from a remote location in Ireland. You will manage international month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis, ensuring IFRS/GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. This role partners with global finance teams, supports external audits, and drives process improvements in cross-border accounting.
Responsibilities
- Lead international month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
- Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls (SOX framework).
- Oversee revenue recognition for international contracts in accordance with policy.
- Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely close.
- Coordinate with Tax, Treasury, and Business Partners on cross-border transactions.
- Support external audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Drive process improvements and ERP system enhancements (e.g., NetSuite).
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff as part of a growing international accounting function.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of international accounting experience; CPA/CFA preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to work in a remote, cross-functional environment.
