Overview

Twilio is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to lead strategic customer engagements and architect scalable communications solutions using Twilio's APIs. This remote role in the United Kingdom requires a seasoned technologist who can translate business needs into robust technical designs and guide customers from discovery through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end Twilio-based solutions for enterprise customers
• Lead technical conversations with customers, present architecture visions, and conduct design reviews
• Create proofs-of-concept and live demos to illustrate solution viability
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive successful outcomes
• Develop technical content, best-practice guides, and reference architectures
• Mentor and coach junior Solutions Engineers
• Contribute to platform improvements by providing customer feedback to product teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, presales, or similar, with enterprise customers
• Deep experience with cloud communications and Twilio APIs, RESTful APIs, and webhooks
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, Java, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
