We are seeking a highly capable and matureLead Security Officer (Concierge) to anchor our team at a high-end, high-traffic luxury residential building located in the vibrant Chicago Loop.

This isn't a quiet desk job. You will be the face of the property, requiring a unique blend of superior customer service, technical agility, and mature composure to manage a highly dynamic environment. If you thrive on being the central point of contact, ensuring safety while managing sophisticated technology, and can handle anything from a tenant's request to a complex situation on the street, we want to talk to you.

This is aUnion position. Must be able to hold over 4 hours as needed.

• Weekend Shift 1st/2nd: Saturday and Sunday 0700-1500

• Weekday Shift 2nd: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 1500-2300

This location is a modern, fast-paced residential building with ayoung clientele and a popular coffee shop attached. You will be interacting with a high volume of tenants and visitors daily, often encountering:

• Complex Guest/Access Situations: A high volume of complex guests requesting unique access, requiring professional, composed management.

• External Challenges: The ability to calmly and maturely interact with external passersbywho are frequently in the surrounding area.

• The Go-To Problem Solver: You must be the reliable bridge when communication is missed—the person who can confidently follow up on a tenant's concern but no email or formal log was made.

In addition to standard supervisory duties, your ability to handle technology and critical situations will be paramount:

• Tech Savvy is Non-Negotiable: You must be comfortable and proficient with modern security and visitor management systems.

• Rapid Vetting: Effectively utilize hotel-like vending key cardsand the access control system for immediate guest and vendor access, ensuring high security standards are met without creating bottlenecks.

• CCTV Expertise: Master the use of high-tech camera systems, including the ability to handle cameras, download clips, and immediately send evidence to the Hiring Manager (HM) during critical incidents.

• Familiarity with Residential Tech: Experience with Airbnb access protocols and similar short-term rental management is a significant advantage.

• Manage and mentor a team of security officers, including scheduling, training, and performance coaching.

• Serve as the Lead Security Concierge, blending traditional doorman/concierge experience with modern security practices.

• Handle all escalated security issues and emergencies with mature, decisive judgment.

• Conduct frequent, thorough interior and exterior patrols in all weather.

• Maintain accurate, detailed logs regarding property damage, incidents, and package management.

• Maintain practical knowledge of all emergency post instructions.

• Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of continuous supervisory experience is required.

• Experience: 3 years of satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience (Doorman, Residential Concierge).

• Character: A proven track record of maturity, composure under pressure, and superior customer service.

• Technical: Demonstrated experience in effectively utilizing CCTV, access control systems, and visitor management tools.

• Required: High School diploma/GED, Valid Security License (if required by state), and the ability to pass a background check/drug screen.

• Physical Demands: Must be able to stand/sit/walk for extended periods, accommodate foot patrols, and lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs.
