- Work with airframe design and manufacturing engineers to input during initial design.
- Design tooling for trim/drill/assembly; include concept, materials, vendors, final inspection.
- Create CAD files/drawings for assembly fixtures with 3D CAD; NX preferred; GD&T.
- Design and inspect fixtures for locating, bonding, and fastening large structures with laser trackers.
- Create design review presentations and analysis reports for tooling designs.
- Interface with manufacturing, design, management, operations, shop floor, and vendors.
🎯 Requirements
- 7 years of professional industry experience.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Hands-on fabrication/assembly experience (from past work, internships, or projects).
- Experience manufacturing/assembling a full vehicle including integration.
- Prototype environment exposure with strong problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD (NX preferred) and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing; strong communication.
