✅ About the Role

As our Growth Associate, you’ll be an early member of Tonic’s founding Growth team, playing a key role in helping us identify and scale new marketing channels. You’ll run experiments, learn what works (and what doesn’t), and help systematize wins into repeatable playbooks.

You’ll report directly to Ray (Tonic’s co-founder and Head of Growth), and work alongside a powerhouse growth team — including Luna (executional lead on influencer marketing) and expert consultants like Haina (Duolingo, TikTok) and Will (former Head of Growth at Instrumentl).

📌 What You’ll Do

You’ll explore and execute across multiple growth levers, including paid, organic, product-led, and community.

1. Experimentation & R&D

Launch fast 0→1 growth experiments across multiple channels

Build business cases and prioritize ideas based on ROI

Document learnings and propose next steps

2. Execution & Collaboration

Own timelines and deliverables for campaign launches

Coordinate with product, design, content, and influencer teams

Assist with copywriting and creative strategy where needed

3. Tracking & Optimization

Monitor CAC, conversions, and retention across initiatives

Propose and implement A/B tests

Create light dashboards or reports to track impact

4. Playbooks & Delegation

Turn validated experiments into repeatable playbooks

Help manage contractors or freelancers as needed

Systematize processes for scale

✨ What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months)

Running 3–5 successful growth experiments across new channels

Creating playbooks for at least one validated channel

Reducing CAC on one or more paid or organic campaigns

Driving measurable user growth in a new audience segment

🔍 What We’re Looking For

2+ years in a growth, marketing, or startup role

Track record launching and iterating on campaigns

Excellent written communication

Comfortable with Notion, Google Sheets, and AI tools like ChatGPT

A strong sense of ownership and curiosity

Bonus: experience in music, creator tools, or education tech

💼 Tools You’ll Use

Notion – playbooks, project tracking

Google Sheets – tracking, analysis, planning

AI tools – for speed and scale

Others as needed: Amplitude, Frame.io, Meta Ads, Figma, etc.

💸 Compensation

$80,000 – $120,000 USD base salary, for US-based candidates

Final offer will depend on location, experience, and skillset

Equity available for exceptional candidates

Compensation

For US-based candidates, our target salary band is$80,000 - $120,000/year+ equity. Salary decisions will be based on multiple factors including geographic location, qualifications for the role, skillset, proficiency, and experience level.
