About the Product Marketing Team

We’re a team of product marketers that are responsible for making Thumbtack known, trusted and loved by our pros and customers. We leverage strategic insights to influence the product roadmap, develop impactful programs to drive retention, and launch multi-channel campaigns to boost engagement. Partnering closely with product managers, designers, and customer-facing teams, we ensure Thumbtack delivers a market-leading experience that meets the evolving needs of our pros and customers.

About the role

As a Product Marketing Associate supporting our Pro Programs, you’ll work to deeply understand our pros to help design programs that recognize, motivate and retain them. You’ll lead projects like regularly interacting with our community, creating a schedule of campaigns and content that engages our pros, and compiling insights from feedback sessions to guide what we build next.

What you’ll do
  • Own day-to-day management of our pro programs including responding to feedback and engaging with pros in our community, partnering with our Pro Advisory Board, and executing initiatives that foster trust and loyalty
  • Build a community content strategy and calendar to educate, engage and motivate pros to stay on Thumbtack
  • Partner directly with our Pro Advisory Board, leading quarterly meetings and gathering their feedback, engaging with them, and helping to recruit future advisory board classes
  • Manage and optimize pro programs marketing campaigns, including outlining briefs, QAing communications, and developing new campaign ideas
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics, identify trends and and provide actionable insights to refine messaging, timing, and targeting
  • Contribute to pro programs strategy discussions, helping to shape their direction
  • Suggest process improvements to make programs more efficient and scalable
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless execution of our programs.
In order to be successful, you must bring
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in product or program marketing, community management or engagement or a related marketing role
  • Experience and comfort with interfacing directly with clients
  • Experience building compelling briefs and working with marketing automation platforms
  • Deep customer empathy and curiosity to understand and champion the needs and motivations of our pros
  • A self-starter who is able to take full ownership of initiatives and drive them to completion
  • A strong communicator and collaborator, who is skilled at working with others and presenting insights and recommendations to others
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Amenability to work PST hours
