Watch bridge navigation and deck watch during assigned periods.
Determine vessel position via GPS, radar, visual observations, depth sounders.
Maintain navigation and radio logs; assist docking and piloting.
Navigate to avoid hazards; complete pilotage logs for Alaska, BC, Columbia/Snake.
Participate in onboard safety training and drills; ISM/ISPS compliance.
Operate inflatable boats; kayak safety briefings; maintain kayaks and gear.

🎯 Requirements

USCG Mate 100 GRT Near Coastal License required.
USCG Master 100 GRT Near Coastal License preferred.
Radar Observer (RO) endorsement required.
STCW Basic Safety Training (BST) within last 5 years required.
Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
Valid TWIC card required.
