Audit and reconcile ~200 payroll tax filings (federal/state/local) for five U.S. entities
Research variances, resolve tax notices, and file amendments with agencies
Maintain organized documentation of audits and research
Remote role; up to 40 hours per week for a 3-month assignment
Hourly rate ranges from $35 to $45 per hour

🎯 Requirements

3+ years of U.S. payroll tax experience for a large multi-state employer
Advanced Excel skills including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables
Ability to operate independently with little oversight
Self-starter; works with sense of urgency
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent education & experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
