Temporary Payroll Tax Accountant

📋 Description

• Audit & reconcile payroll tax filings for five U.S. entities from CY2020 to present
• Research variances, resolve tax notices, and file amendments with agencies
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of audits and research performed

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of U.S. payroll tax experience for a large multi-state employer
• Ability to operate independently with little oversight
• Self-starter who works with a sense of urgency
• Advanced Excel skills including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent education & experience
