Temporary Payroll Tax Accountant

📋 Description

• Audit and reconcile ~200 payroll tax filings for five U.S. entities.
• Research variances, resolve notices, and file amendments with agencies.
• Maintain organized documentation of audits and research performed.
• Remote role; up to 40 hours/week; 3-month contract; $35-$45/hour.
• Reports to the Senior Manager of Payroll.
• Contribute to accurate submission of payroll tax dollars.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of U.S. payroll tax experience for a large multi-state employer.
• Ability to work independently with little oversight.
• Self-starter; demonstrates urgency and discretion.
• Advanced Excel: V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent).
