Temporary, Payroll Accountant (US and Canadian Payroll)

📋 Description

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline; resolve variances within 30 days
• Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions
• Prepare monthly payroll accrual and expense load files for the GL team
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two entities; ensure timely, compliant delivery
• Reconcile monthly benefits billing with payroll records; resolve discrepancies

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in payroll accounting with payroll Ops and GL experience
• Able to hit the ground running in a new environment
• Hands-on NetSuite and/or Blackline experience or similar ERP
• Strong payroll compliance knowledge (US federal/state); Canadian payroll a plus
• Meticulous and detail-oriented; take ownership
• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance preferred; CPA/CPP a plus
