Temporary, Payroll Accountant (US and Canadian Payroll)

📋 Description

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline within 30 days
• Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions
• Prepare monthly payroll accrual and expense load files for the GL team
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two entities, ensuring timely delivery and compliance
• Reconcile benefits billing with payroll records, identifying discrepancies

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll accounting experience, with exposure to payroll operations and GL accounting
• Comfortable hitting the ground running in a new environment with minimal ramp-up time
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms
• Solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
• You are meticulous about accuracy and take ownership of getting the details right
• You are a clear communicator who can respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally
