Temporary Payroll Accountant

📋 Description

• Prepare payroll journal entries and record them in NetSuite
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline; resolve variances in 30 days
• Reconcile payroll-related cash transactions
• Prepare monthly payroll accrual and actual expense load files for GL
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two entities with compliance
• Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to payroll records

🎯 Requirements

• You have 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting, with exposure to both payroll operations and general ledger accounting
• You're comfortable hitting the ground running in a new environment with minimal ramp-up time
• You have hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms
• You have a solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
• You are meticulous about accuracy and take ownership of getting the details right
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA or CPP designation is a plus
