About the Position

We’re seeking a senior-level acoustic engineer to join our Acoustics & Vibration team as an Associate Principal. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership, and a collaborative mindset to support projects from concept through construction.

This individual will lead and deliver high-profile projects across a range of markets, including higher education, workplace, healthcare, performing arts, transportation, cultural, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. Through these projects, they will collaborate and manage multidisciplinary teams across all TEECOM provided services.

Internally, it is expected that this candidate will oversee and manage project teams, delegate work effectively, and promote TEECOM core values. Externally, this candidate will manage client relationships, coordinate with architects and engineers, and provide clear, professional communication throughout all project phases.

There will be responsibility for project travel to support in-person meetings and conducting site measurements. Desk work is anticipated to analyze data, perform engineering calculations, develop models, and lead the preparation of design documenation with minimal oversight. prepare technical reports, It is the responsibility of this candidate to champion and maintain high standards of quality, technical accuracy, and project delivery.

  • Prepare and/or delegate mark-ups for Revit models and AutoCAD drawings

  • Experience

  • Education/Degree/Major: BS in Engineering, Physics, or Acoustics, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of acoustic consulting experience within the architecture, engineering, & construction industry or equivalent industry.
  • Knowledge of acoustic fundamentals, vibration fundamentals, HVAC system noise control, digital signal processing, electroacoustics, human responses to acoustics and vibration
  • Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit) experience is a plus
  • Bluebeam Studio experience is a plus
  • Experience with sound and vibration measurement equipment, and experience performing field measurements
  • Acoustic modeling software (EASE, CATT, ODEON, INSUL, etc.) experience is a plus
  • MaxMSP experience is a plus
  • Recording, sound design, binaural/3D/ambisonics sound, multimedia, interactive or generative sound design, live sound, video production, production/staging is a plus
