📋 Description

  • Escalation point for IT/AV customers; troubleshoot and resolve NETGEAR tickets by phone.
  • Diagnose Layer 2/3 switching, QoS, IGMP/STP, AV protocols, routing, and wireless issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering/Product to escalate bugs and undocumented behaviors.
  • Assist with configurations, firmware validation, and lab replication.
  • Document solutions, root causes, and workarounds in the knowledge base.
  • Stay current with networking/AV technologies and NETGEAR firmware roadmaps.

🎯 Requirements

  • 4+ years in technical support, network operations, or field support; AV-over-IP/enterprise switching preferred.
  • IGMP Snooping/Querier and multicast optimization.
  • VLANs, QoS, STP/RSTP, and Ethernet switching protocols.
  • ProAV tools: Dante Controller, Q-SYS, NDI Studio Monitor, AMX, Crestron NVX.
  • Experience with NETGEAR switches or similar (Cisco/Extreme/Aruba) in support/deploy.
  • Strong documentation, ticketing, and remote diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
