Technical Accounting Manager, Compute Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Evaluate complex, judgmental, non-routine transactions under US GAAP.
• Partner with Controllership, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Procurement, Infrastructure to assess implications.
• Translate accounting conclusions into practical guidance: entries, close, disclosures, controls.
• Lead preparation and review of technical accounting memoranda and position papers.
• Maintain and enhance OpenAI's technical accounting framework, including policies and guidance.
• Advise on financial reporting implications of complex accounting areas and disclosures.

🎯 Requirements

• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in technology.
• Prior public accounting experience at manager or senior manager level.
• National office or Accounting Advisory background preferred.
• Strong US GAAP foundation, with expertise in financial instruments, consolidation, and lease accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-velocity, cross-functional teams on impactful projects.
