Tech Lead (Backend): Cards

📋 Description

• Define and drive the cards platform architecture (issuing, tokenization, processing).
• Act as primary technical decision-maker for the squad.
• Lead design and delivery of scalable, compliant APIs and services.
• Own the technical roadmap for cards engineering with product alignment.
• Coordinate delivery across card issuance, transactions, settlements, and compliance.
• Hands-on coding: development, debugging, optimization, reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12+ years in software engineering with 3–5+ years in senior/lead roles.
• Proven track record delivering complex scalable systems (microservices/event-driven).
• Primary technical decision-maker for a team; evaluates trade-offs and standards.
• Strong card payments knowledge: issuing programmes and processing in regulated env.
• Proficient in Java/Spring Boot; REST APIs; SQL/NoSQL data modeling.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker and Kubernetes.
