To strengthen our Risk & Data capabilities, we’re looking for a Data Engineer to help build and roll out a new Risk Engine with data quality at its core.
Your roleAs a Data Engineer, you will help design and deliver the data foundation behind our new Risk Engine. You’ll decide which data to obtain, how it should be structured and exposed, and ensure successful rollout and adoption across the organisation.
You combine strong engineering skills (PySpark, Python, SQL) with a sharp eye for data quality, reliability and incident management.
What you will do-
Define which data is required for the Risk Engine and what the expected outputs should be

Design, build and optimise data pipelines in PySpark, Python and SQL

Drive data quality, monitoring and observability for risk-related datasets

Ensure a smooth rollout and adoption of the Risk Engine across teams and stakeholders

Bring a strong culture around incident management:
-
Analyse root causes (not just symptoms)
-
Challenge existing setups (“why is it built this way?”)
-
Introduce industry best practices
-

Collaborate closely with risk, business and platform teams to ensure solutions are usable, robust and well-understood

Solid experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role) in a data-driven environment

Strong hands-on skills with: PySpark, Python, SQL

Experience with data quality, incident management and operating data pipelines in production

A structured way of working and curiosity to dig into root causes and improve processes

Good stakeholder skills: able to translate technical details into clear impact for risk and business teams

A proactive mindset: you don’t just fix issues, you help prevent them

Experience in financial markets, risk, or clearing & settlement

Experience with modern data platforms, orchestration and monitoring tools

Familiarity with regulated environments and strict data/governance requirements
Python Software Engineer – DPE Team
Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid)

The DPE (Derivatives & Platform Engineering) team is hiring a Python Software Engineer. You’ll help build and expand the batch functionality of the largest equities exchange in Europe.
We are firm believers in testable, maintainable code and software craftsmanship; that mindset has helped us become the largest equities exchange in Europe — and we’re looking for another talented engineer to help us keep innovating and leading the market.
Your roleAs a Python Software Engineer in the DPE team, you’ll design and build highly reliable batch systems that directly support Cboe Europe’s trading operations. You’ll work in a global development team, collaborate closely with business and sales, and contribute to new products and features for our exchanges.
