ING- Cloud Infra Engineer

Overview

Join ING’s established SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya 3.5 platform team on Azure Public Cloud. You’ll focus on installation, configuration, patching, and reliable operations - laying the groundwork for a smooth future transition to Viya 4.

What you’ll do

• Install, upgrade, and support SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya 3.5 (platform ops).

• Administer RHEL; enforce hardening, compliance, and operational standards.

• Automate with Ansible; manage releases and lifecycle at scale.

• Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) with Git best practices.

• Script in Python/Shell/PowerShell for job automation and platform tasks.

• Maintain CMDB, scheduling, monitoring, and runbooks.

• Operate within Agile/DevOps; drive reliability, DR/backup, and incident response.

• Partner with SAS Netherlands on vendor guidance and best practices.

Must-haves

• Bachelor’s in IT (or equivalent).

• Strong SAS platform administration (SAS 9.4 and/or Viya 3.5).

• Solid Linux (RHEL), Ansible, and CI/CD with Azure DevOps.

• Proven track record automating operational processes.

• Excellent English; clear communicator and team player.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience running SAS jobs on servers and command-line operations.

• Python for lifecycle orchestration of SAS workloads.

• Banking/regulated environment experience.
