In this role, you will apply your expertise in data modelling techniques and your understanding of the Entity-Relationship model to interpret and communicate logical and conceptual data models in an accessible way. Your proficiency in SQL and familiarity with ETL concepts will be essential for delivering and reviewing end-to-end solutions.
You will act as a key link between end-users and business needs. This includes identifying golden sources for business terms, modelling these terms conceptually and logically, creating source-to-target mappings, and collaborating with developers to explore implementation approaches.
Roles and Responsibilities -
Refine Requirements: Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into business terms and conceptual models.

Deliver High-Quality Models: Ensure delivery according to agreed principles and quality criteria, including logical data models, mapping of logical models to data requirements, and comprehensive documentation of business terms.

Create Mappings: Develop source-to-requirements mappings and source-to-target mappings for logical and physical models.

Support Development: Provide continuous support to data engineers during the development of physical data models and data processing.

Promote Data Models: Advocate and support the adoption of data models across the one of our client's organization, beyond the Data Warehouse (DWH).

Establish Standards: Define and maintain ways of working, design principles, standards, and guidelines for data modelling.

Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with programmers, testers, development teams, and business users.

Communicate Clearly: Present issues, questions, and recommendations concisely and accurately. Proactively identify and address risks and concerns.

Train and Support: Provide training, documentation, and support to business users and other support teams.

Required Skills and Experience-
Expertise in requirements engineering, including defining business terms.

Proven experience with data modelling techniques, tools, and methods.

Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.

Working knowledge of PlantUML for class modelling (nice to have).

Domain knowledge of the financial industry: retail and wholesale banking, financial & management accounting, credit risk, and quantitative risk.

Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks such as FINREP, COREP, CRLTP, ESG, MIFID, liquidity reporting, MIS valuation, customer profitability, EMIR, and SFTR.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Strong analytical and judgment capabilities, including assessing architectural impacts.
