Systems Engineer, Flight Termination System (Starship)

📋 Description

• Act as responsible engineer for Starship Flight Termination System development.
• Define detailed system design, interconnects, fault tolerance, and config control.
• Interface with customers and regulatory partners to implement requirements.
• Ensure that the as-built Flight Termination System meets design intent and regulatory requirements.
• Generate and submit flight safety system certification deliverables for launch operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, computer engineering, or physics.
• 1+ years hardware development experience in electronic or mechanical systems.
• Experience with RF, power, communications, and sensors subsystems.
• Experience designing and certifying flight safety systems for launch vehicles.
• Experience with system trades and tying hardware to larger systems.
• Self-starter with ability to meet demanding time/resource constraints.
