- Fabricate prototype components using 3D printing, machining, and rapid prototyping methods.
- Manufacture prototype structures using wet layup composites (fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc.).
- Build and maintain jigs, molds, and fixtures to support prototype assembly.
- Assemble and integrate mechanical, electrical, structural, and engine systems for prototype vehicles.
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs during build and testing.
- Provide feedback to design engineers to improve manufacturability and integration.
🎯 Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Skilled in CAD tools (CATIA, NX, or similar) for prototype design.
- Proficiency with 3D printing (FDM, SLA, or similar) and finishing techniques.
- Practical experience with wet layup composite fabrication.
- Strong shop skills: use of hand tools, adhesives, cutting, bonding, and assembly processes.
- Hands-on experience working with internal combustion engines (assembly, integration, or testing).
