About XBorg

XBorg powers fan engagement for the world's biggest esports teams - Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, JD Gaming, and more. We're building the infrastructure that lets these organizations create personalized, gamified experiences for millions of fans.

Incubated by SwissBorg with $10M+ raised, we're now expanding beyond gaming and entering the AI race with products that will change how the world's largest brands engage with their audiences.

About the role

We're looking for a full-stack engineer who thrives in a startup environment. You'll work closely with our product team, turning ideas into live features that thousands of esports fans use.

For this role, versatility matters more than years of experience. We care about builders who understand products, ship fast, and leverage AI to move even faster.

What You'll Do

  • Ship End-to-End Features: Take features from concept to production. You'll be in product discussions, write both frontend and backend code, deploy to production, and monitor how it performs.
  • Move Fast, Break Nothing (Important): Launch features quickly, collaborate with the product team to get feedback from esports teams, iterate based on real usage. We'd rather ship something good today than something perfect in three weeks.
  • Be Product-Minded: You're not just implementing specs. You'll be in the room when we're figuring out what to build. Your technical insight will shape what we ship.
  • Work Across the Stack: Frontend (React, Next.js), Backend (Nest.js, PostgreSQL), APIs, integrations, deployments - you'll touch it all.
  • Understand the Product: We're building for esports teams and gaming brands. You don't need to be a hardcore gamer, but you should understand why gamification matters and what makes fans engage.
  • What We're Looking For

  • Experience with React/Next.js (frontend) and Node.js/Nest.js (backend)
  • Comfortable with PostgreSQL, TypeScript, AWS/cloud infrastructure
  • Startup experience or mentality - you've shipped fast in resource-constrained environments
  • Product mindset - you think about user problems, not just technical implementation
  • Genuine interest in gaming/esports - you understand the space we're playing in
  • Nice-To-Have

  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines
  • Built features involving gamification, rewards systems, or community engagement
  • Worked with third-party API integrations (Discord, Twitter, Steam, etc.)
  • Previous experience at a fast-growing startup
  • Comfortable with designing and maintaining APIs
  • What You'll Get

  • 💰 Competitive salary + XBG token package (you'll have skin in the game)
  • 🎮 Weekly gaming sessions with the team and community
  • ✈️ Bi-yearly team retreats + financial support for conferences and events
  • 🌍 Full remote flexibility (work from anywhere)
  • Additional Information

You'll be building features that power fan experiences for the most iconic esports organizations in the world. If you're a full-stack engineer who loves startups, ships fast, uses AI to code smarter, and has a genuine interest in gaming/esports, this is your chance to work on a platform serving Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and other legendary gaming organizations.
